Starting his career as a corporate lawyer, Marc made the transition into digital technology initially as a project manager and then as product manager. Marc has been managing products for the last 8 years, working on a range of successful digital products/services, at companies such as 7digital, carwow, YouView, Not on the High Street, WorldFirst and Settled. He currently serves as the Product Ownership Practice Lead at ASOS.com. He works closely with organisers of all our ProductTank meetups in over 150 cities around the world to ensure deliver the highest quality events for a the world's largest community of product people. He's also written a book about product management: My Product Management Toolkit.
Keji is a self confessed product nerd who particularly loves the discovery process. Her experience has mostly been in B2B and edTech but more recently in the world of B2C in the digital team at National Express (the UK's largest coach & bus company). She is passionate about building product communities, sharing and learning experiences and as well as running ProductTank Birmingham, is also the regional coordinator for ProductTanks in EMEA.
Taisia is a Co-Founder & CPO at Polyteia, a govtech startup enabling municipal governments to make data-based decisions. Within 15 years of experience in building digital services, she has managed cross-functional teams within startups and large companies and launched multi-platform services that are being used by millions of people daily. Taisia completed an interactive Art Director program at Hyper Island, a digital media school in Stockholm June 2013 and lives in Berlin since 2015.
Carolin has a strong background in security and is also driving security standardization as the Co-Chair of one of the Trusted Computing Group's (TCG's) working groups. She strongly believes that security and usability can go hand in hand.
Ben Haim currently serves as Senior Director Marketplace at Booking.com in Amsterdam. Prior to that, he has been with Google between 2007 and 2019, in Zurich since 2008. His last position at Google involved leading the Flights and Packages product teams. Before, Ben Haim worked on Google Maps, leading all the directions related product, including Driving Directions, Public Transit, Road Traffic and more. Ben Haim joined Google in Tel Aviv, as the first PM hired in Israel, and worked on launching products for Israel and the Middle East. Prior to joining Google he spent 5 years with Mobileye, developing Vision based technologies for Driving Assistant systems. Ben Haim is a graduate of the Hebrew University, majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Sciences, as well as the Stanford Graduate School of Business and École Polytechnique Ignite program.
Alex is a Senior freelance UX Designer with a background in research. She has worked globally for well-known brands to smaller startups. With a passion for finding the real problem to be solved, she works closely with product managers and has formed some great working relationships along the way. Outside of work, she is a keen traveler and avid diver.
Katia is passionate about building B2B and B2C products for established business and startups with more than 15 years of international experience in companies such as eBay, eDreams and Schibsted Media Group. Currently she is responsible for driving innovative credit solutions at PayPal as Lead Product EMEA. Katia has a master degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University and a certificate in Design Thinking at Stanford University.
Inga Chen leads two personalization & discovery product teams at Spotify focused on building data and machine learning models that power experiences like Discover Weekly, Release Radar, as well as personalization on Home, Voice speakers, and Search. She also leads the New York Chapter for Women in Product, a community of over 1000 women product managers that gather regularly for knowledge sharing in the form of product events, breakfasts, dinners and social events. Previously, she led the user-facing analytics product area at Squarespace, turning data into actionable insights across web and mobile to help millions of websites make better decisions about their businesses. Before Squarespace, Inga was a product manager of data insights, fleet telematics and automatic smog check at Automatic Labs, a connected car IoT startup leveraging machine learning and data science to empower drivers with insights into their driving behavior and car health. She is a Bay Area native currently living in New York City and enjoys drinking lots of tea.
Chanel is passionate about technology and chose to venture into the IT industry after an apprenticeship as an Office Clerk. With a Swiss federal degree in computer science she managed projects for different companies in the automobile industry and worked as a software developer at web agencies. As she well knows how challenging it can be to learn a programming language, she’s passionate about sharing her technical knowledge and experience with programming beginners and enabling them to gain confidence through their newly gained coding skills.
Tim is a product and business leader, as well as a prolific writer, podcaster, and speaker. Currently, he’s responsible for the overall sales, product, engineering, and marketing efforts behind the leading conversion optimization platform Iridion. He previously shaped digital products at XING, Gruner+Jahr, and several smaller startups where he held product leadership roles for more than seven years. Tim also regularly co-organizes the Product Tank Hamburg meetup to promote the local product management community.
Dominique has been with Scout24 Switzerland for 14 years. With a background in software engineering, he started out writing code for Immoscout24.ch, and gradually transitioned into different leadership roles in engineering and business development. He is interested in all aspects of creating great digital products, and loves learning and sharing. Dominique and is currently leading the product organization at Scout24, where he helps multiple cross functional, agile and international teams achieve their goals.
Tilke Judd is a Product Manager working on the Google assistant. During her 7 years at Google she was a product manager on Google Alerts, Google Search and the Google Assistant. Prior to Google she completed her BS in Math, and MS and PhD in Computer Graphics from MIT while dabbling in digital video making and competitive ballroom dancing. Originally from the United States, she now lives and works in Zurich. When not at work she and her husband like to take their twin 3-year-olds to the mountains.
Philipp is a passionate Product Manager by profession with a strong product sense and a penchant for human-centered product development. Currently, he is working as Senior Product Manager at Zalando SE, where he drives new product development starting from product discovery to implementation and scaling. Prior to Zalando, Philipp worked as Product Manager for Lovoo, responsible for monetization, and Opera Mediaworks, responsible for the development of innovative advertising formats. Philipp holds a Master`s degree in Business Informatics, which helps him to understand technology capabilities, market and user needs to envision digital solutions at scale.
Grace has been a Product Manager at Google for the last 15 years, and has worked on defining products such as Google Calendar, Google Flights, and most recently Google Assistant. Previous to Google she worked as a PM at Microsoft, and before that she got a degree in Computer Science from Harvard University. Grace has two children and has been working part-time (60%) since her first child was born 5 years ago. There have been many positives and negatives from this decision -- even at a company as progressive as Google -- and she has a lot of thoughts on topics such as leaning in/out, ``having it all,`` and how becoming a parent makes you better at work.
By launching the Product Academy, Tanja is combining her passion for continuous learning with her professional background as product leader. As founding partner of start-ups in Munich and Madrid, she has gained valuable entrepreneurial experience which she passes on as e-commerce consultant and public speaker on various occasions. Previously, she worked as senior consultant for Unic as well as Head of Product for siroop, a former marketplace in Switzerland. She loves to take on pet projects such as being Head of Marketing for TEDxZurich 2015 or launching non-profit initiatives. In 2017, she founded the local ProductTanks Bern and Zurich for Mind The Product and is now also leading the Swiss chapter of 'Women in Product', a non-profit organization dedicated to provide women with equal access and representation in product management careers at all levels.
Stefania is a product leader specialized in B2B and Platform Product Management. She is passionate about technology, with a focus on how to abstract from it to fasten and facilitate application design. At Appway, she heads the product team, creating software products for the financial services industry. Previously, she was a product manager of the Appway Platform focusing on developer and operations experience. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and has worked in research for several years. She spends her spare time cooking and exploring the world with her husband and two children.
After a career start in management and marketing, Aude moved into digital product management 5 years ago. She is currently the Head of PM for anibis, leading three cross functional product teams, and line managing four direct reports. Her approach to work as a product leader and life as a young mother is: learning by doing, failing, iterating and always staying curious and humble
Hélène recently joined Delivery Hero as Product Leader for Machine Learning and Customer Journey. Prior to that, she has been driving product in Zalando’s Sizing team, discovering and launching innovative machine learning based size guidance that helps customers find the right size online. She has been an advocate of machine learning based product development, sharing her insights on how to build data driven products hat customers love. Hélène holds a M. A. in political science and journalism. Her background enables her to focus on discovery, bring empathy and look for the “why” behind each story. Prior to Sizing, Hélène built transactional and logistics products, both for retail customers and major airlines, at Zalando and Amadeus. In her free time, she loves mentoring future PMs, reading - real, paperback books! -, learning new languages and debating with friends, if possible in German.
Before joining Konsus in Oslo as their VP of Product, the Canadian was part of the product team at Booking in Amsterdam. Previously, he was a product and growth leader at Shopify. He’s always excited to find unique ways to connect his experience in development, product management, and growth.
With a background in both business & product and engineering, Alexandra has previously held positions in product management, marketing, communication and consulting in new business & product launch. She is passionate about building products that achieve true impact. Alexandra is a digital transformation enabler and through coaching, teaching, workshops and meeting facilitation, she provides individuals and teams with new tools to meaningfully improve their work and their organization as a whole. She loves solving complex problems, answering the why with qualitative/quantitative data and helping clients who are looking to build successful products quickly.
Ingrid is the Founder and CEO of appear.in, a browser-based video meeting service used by 10 million unique users worldwide in 2018. Prior to taking over as CEO in 2017, she was Product Manager and has been deeply involved in the design and development of the service since it's inception in 2013. She has a background in economics and entrepreneurship from Norway and Boston, and has also been working with product development at Norway's largest newspaper. She's an avid offpiste skier and has recently taken up knitting.
Lukas Oldenburg holds 12 years of experience in the Digital Analytics field and works as a freelancer in Switzerland and Germany. Before deciding to start his own business, he was the Head of Analytics & BI at siroop, an ecommerce online startup in Zurich, Switzerland. Earlier, Lukas acted as Senior Consultant for Digital Analytics at Unic, one of the largest Swiss-based E-Business specialists. From 2006 to 2012, Lukas worked as an editor-in-chief and webmaster for e-fellows.net, the German career network, online scholarship and recruiting company owned by McKinsey & Co. and DIE ZEIT. He has planned and rolled out several complex data setups, using mostly Tealium, Google Tag Manager, and Adobe DTM as the Tag Management System, and Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and Webtrends as the Analytics tools. His experience goes beyond Web Analytics and Tag Management however, having been the driving force behind several Business Intelligence initiatives as well.
Paolo Petrolini, a product coach with well over a decade of experience in product management and strategic innovation management. Paolo is a product advisor to a number of fast growing startups in Europe and Asia, while being the Chief Product and Growth Officer at Salarify, a fast growing fintech startup revolutionizing the way salaries are paid, and Chief Technology Officer at Digital Nomads, a growth marketing agency based in Hong Kong. Lastly, Paolo served for 12 years at Google as the Head of Trust & Safety in Switzerland, where he led an international team of Product Specialists, Data Scientists and Program Managers working on innovative solutions to keep Google users safe online.
Iulia is the Head of Product Management for Product Management Festival, an international event bringing product people together across the world while providing access to information and resources for product people. Prior to PMF she has been leading product at Cyberghost, one of the top leading VPN software providers. Iulia started her career launching ecommerce projects. She holds an Engineering degree and is passionate about Leadership and Design. When not working on strengthening the product management community, she’s hiking the Alps or traveling the world.
A product specialist with a background in business strategy and international relations, Nina is currently working as Head of Products and Solutions driving the go-to-market strategy of Appway, a global software company serving the financial services industries. In her previous roles at Appway she worked closely with the CEO and CTO of the company to build-up and institutionalize product management during the company’s growth from 30 to 200 employees. She holds a degree in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen. When she is not doing gymnastics, Nina spends her spare time recharging on sunlight in Ticino, following world politics and trying to find her voice as a passionate supporter of women in leadership.
A recovering music journalist & editor, Randy has been working as an interactive producer & product manager across the US & UK for nearly 20 years. (Yikes!) After launching Amazon’s music stores in the US and UK, Randy has worked with museums and arts groups, online education, media & entertainment, retail and financial services. He’s held Head of Product roles at HSBC and Sainsbury’s, where he also directed their 100+-person product community. Randy currently works with Motivate Design to bring their Discovery process to Europe, and as a Product Management consultant. He’s also the co-host of Mind the Product’s podcast, The Product Experience.
Isa Steiner started her career in R&D as a research Engineer after her Computer Science studies. In 2008, she joined local.ch as an Engineering Director. After spending some years in technical leadership positions, she restarted her professional life as a human centered design consultant at Swisscom and eventually took over the PO position for the relaunch of Swisscom TV. After the successful market launch, she took over a cross-functional Service Innovation department at Swisscom, to develop the next generation of customer service product lines. In 2013, she moved to Swisscom’s Outpost in Silicon valley before joining siroop.ch as a CTO just a year later. After an other year at YouTube, she started a new assignment as CTO of carforyou.ch recently. Her passion is to lead x-functional organizations, enable them to develop new products in a lean way and to inspire the next generation of knowledge workers.
Philipp has a bachelor degree in mechanical and process engineering and a master’s degree in Management, Technology and Economics, both from ETH Zurich. He started his career in the marketing department of Porsche AG in Stuttgart. Thereafter, he joined an international corporation active the pharmaceutical and medical industries. After two years, Philipp took over responsibility of their medical division. In 2011, Philipp became managing director of the company’s business in South Africa. After three years in Johannesburg, Philipp started Ava together with 3 co-founders. He is currently responsible for Product and Technology.
Kristina brings 8 years of digital experience to her current role as Product Lead at N26 Group where she enjoys developing product mobile-first. Before taking over the product leadership in the Loyalty team of Zalando, she led the browse & shop & find team for Mobile Apps, delivered customer-centric solutions and drove the mobile mindset within Zalando’s various departments. Besides her passion for building products, Kristina hosts her own podcast “emploYAY” that challenges us to rethink employment & purpose at work and showcases role models with nonlinear careers & new work approaches. Before joining Zalando, Kristina worked as Mobile Consultant and Account Manager for Aperto Move and icon mobile, building up mobile strategies and creating innovative mobile solutions for major clients in the retail, television, NGO and automotive industries. Kristina holds a M.Sc. in Business Administration.
Julia Whitney is an Executive Coach who helps individuals and teams, in the tech community and beyond, step up to the next level of their leadership potential. Julia brings her own experience as a board level leader to her coaching practice. She’s led UX design teams for more than 20 years, in both the U.S. and the UK, most recently as General Manager and Executive Creative Director for the BBC’s 150 person strong UX&D department. Julia is supporting our mentoring program 'Women in Product' as coach and trainer for 'Conflict Competence'.
