Phil begann seine Karriere während der Dotcom-Blase und die erste Agentur, bei der er arbeitete, war von kurzer Dauer. Er blieb jedoch auf dem Gebiet, weil ihn die Möglichkeiten dieses neuen Mediums zutiefst faszinierten. In den folgenden Jahren arbeitete er für mehrere Webagenturen und startete mit Freunden ein Online-Videomagazin. Nach der Leitung von drei UX-Teams, einem UX-Writing-Team und dem Group Innovation Team bei Scout24 Schweiz übernahm er seine jetzige Position als Head of Product bei Migros Online. Phil ist von Natur aus neugierig und glaubt fest daran, dass man nie aufhören sollte zu lernen. Wenn er nicht arbeitet, verbringt er Zeit mit seinem Sohn, braut Bier, kocht und liest viel zu viele Science-Fiction-Bücher.
