We all know what a bad search experience looks like from our personal online shopping experience. Still, when it comes to optimizing the onsite search of our own products, we as product managers often struggle quite a bit. Understanding the inner workings of a search engine from a technical point of view can be truly challenging. How can optimize the search algorithm to help customers find what they are looking for? What is the best way to display search results and design the UX flow? And how do I even know which KPIs to monitor in order to assess the performance of my onsite search?
Alex sheds light on important aspects of onsite search engines and shares his tipps on where to start in order to provide a better search experience for your customers and drive conversions for your business.
